Alternate Fuels:
Fuel is simply stored energy. Wood, coal, oil, petroleum, natural gas; these are traditional fuels that power our daily lives. We are now forced to seek other fuels for two primary reasons. First, the supply of crude oil is not only limited but is also becoming erratic and second, because of the pollution that the burning of fossil fuels causes to the environment. Alternative fuels are those sources of energy that are not the conventional ones mentioned above. Some of these are vegetable oils (biodiesel and bioalcohol), hydrogen, biogas, biomass, wind power tidal energy, solar electricity etc. The best known and indeed the most controversial is Nuclear power.
